Are You Ready for the Best Medical Experience You’ll Ever Have

As a Primary Care Practitioner in Chinese and Functional Medicine, I have sat with and listened to hundreds of patients over the years. What comes up over and over is a common theme.

Patients are tired of the Western Medical System and the practice of medicine overall. This is some of what I have heard.

  • You are tired of feeling you are not being heard.

  • You are tired of waiting rooms.

  • You are tired of waiting 3 hours for a 15 minutes appointment.

  • You are tired of rushed doctor visits where you don’t get all of your questions answered?

  • You are tired of just trying to get an appointment.

  • Tired of never knowing WHY you are sick.

  • Tired of not knowing WHAT you can do about it.

  • You are NOT ALONE

Concierge Medicine
A
“Retainer” Medical Practice

Here at Dr. B’s Wellness Clinic, we are employed directly by our patients, this means, all our focus and energy is given to you, the patient. Dr. B is committed to offering you the same level of care that his patients have been experiencing for years, just in a unique approach that makes it possible to provide the highest-quality and individualized patient care.

Who Chooses Concierge Medicine?

  • Patients desiring a health professional on their team for the long haul.

  • Patients wanting easy and direct communication with their medical practitioner.

  • Patients who want a doctor to address the root cause of why they are sick, and also treat the symptoms preventing quality of life.

  • Those with high insurance premiums, high-deductible health plans, and/or HSA’s.

  • Having a medical professional who can identify potential health risks leading to management, and resolution of disease through wellness planning and patient education.

  • Patients return faithfully for recommended follow-up visits, routine labs, etc. Thus eliminating the constant fall off the proverbial wagon of good intention.

  • Patients wanting a VIP experience when it comes to their health and wellness.

Why See A Concierge Doctor?

  • Finally, get the real answers (and solutions) to why you don't feel well.

  • Zero office waiting.

  • Actual responses to emails, texts, and phone calls directly from Dr. B.

  • Sit down, relax, and bring your questions to all of your medical symptoms.

  • Imagine having all your current medications explained, and their possible side effects, and be armed with the most up-to-date information so you can make informed decisions.

  • What would it feel like to have possible alternatives that could help get you off of a synthetic pharmaceutical roller coaster?

  • Stop the merry-go-round of running from practitioner to practitioner trying to resolve your issues without getting to the true root causes.

  • Actually address and fix the problems leading to disease.

Concierge Membership Has Been Broken Into 3 Tiers.

All 3 Tier memberships come with a Chinese and Functional Medicine approach, longer appointments than the standard Primary Care clinic, access to Dr. B, acupuncture, trigger point therapy, cupping, gua sha, nutritional guidance, discounts on specialty labs, and herbal supplements.

The first tier is tailored to individuals who are looking at maintenance for a health condition that is already under control. This could range from minor aches, pains, and/or acute injury to even infrequent insomnia, minor digestive upset, and complaints.

Maybe you want to dip your toes into personal health medicine but you're not quite ready yet to make that big leap into real change just yet. Tier 1 is a great starting point.

Tier 1.png
Tier 2.png

The second tier is focused on individuals looking to get serious about getting better. Dr. B would recommend this tier to individuals with certain chronic conditions. Chronic pain, chronic mental emotional challenges, and hormone-related conditions, including chronic weight challenges and menopause. This tier fits most patients that Dr. B has seen over the years.

Tier 3.png

Dr. B’s third tier should be utilized by individuals who are looking for a full-time health practitioner in their corner. You have suffered from years of chronic auto-immune diseases and more difficult-to-treat diseases that Western medicine may have not been able to effectively treat.

This is also the top tier for individuals looking to make a radical shift in their health and wellness. If you have been suffering for most of your life and are looking to make the most rapid change possible, this is the tier for you.

No Concierge Membership Required To Be A Dr. B's Clinic Patient

At Dr. B’s Wellness Clinic our goal has been and continues to be the establishment of long-term relationships with our patients. New and old patients are not required to be part of the Clinic Concierge Program in order to be seen.

The establishment of Dr. B's Concierge Membership Program has been created for those patients wanting another choice in their health and wellness journey.

New and established patients are always welcome to be treated in the clinic on a per-treatment basis.

The Concierge Membership Difference

  • What makes Concierge Medical Practitioners unique is that we have ample time to spend with each patient. There is no rush. Dr. B’s initial intake alone is two hours long and each follow-up appointment is an hour.

  • Dr. B’s patients walk out of each appointment with their questions answered, a game plan, and a course of action.  As well as, the same day or the next via email, nutritional, supplement, nutraceutical, and herbal recommendations that address a patient's branch and root symptoms.

Concierge Medicine is Cost-Effective.

  • As a Concierge Practitioner, Dr. B can focus on fewer patients than a traditional physician, allowing him to focus on preventive care while truly knowing a patient's history. Traditional doctors have a very limited time with each patient, this often leads to more tests or procedures to diagnose their patient. If you have a low-cost high-deductible health insurance plan you can use the money saved on health insurance to cover the concierge medicine retainer.

  • If you have been a patient of Dr. B’s over the years you may quickly notice that the monthly cost of care is either the same or less than you have actually been paying a month for treatment. Dr. B has tried to make wellness care and supportive alternative medicine affordable and part of your overall investment plans for yourself and your family.

  • Dr. B’s Wellness Concierge Membership puts the power back into your hands when it comes to health and wellness. Functional and Chinese Medicine shifts your care from the Western medical standard of disease-centered to a patient-centered approach, with a focus on personalized medical care, information, advocacy, health literacy, longevity, and convenience.

  • When you are ready we would love to begin your health and wellness journey together.

BECOME A PATIENT

ACUPUNCTURE & FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

Initial Intake
2-hours
$200

During the initial intake, we are going to deep-dive into your medical history and utilize in-depth, Functional Medicine questionnaires that cover areas such as food, environment, stress level, supplements, and even comprehensive laboratory tests (blood, urine, stool, and saliva testing) if warranted.  I will then combine this with an equally detailed Chinese medical diagnosis to formulate the best treatment plan.

After the initial evaluation, a trial course of Acupuncture is recommended. This usually consists of four to six visits during a three or four-week period.  If the patient is experiencing acute or even chronic pain, I personally expect to have a 20 to 30% reduction in pain after the first treatment.  How long this reduced pain lasts varies from patient to patient and depends on the patient’s overall health and various other cofactors.  Acupuncture has a cumulative effect, with each treatment building upon the last.

Treatment can include Acupuncture, Cupping, Gua Sha, and Tui Na (Acupressure Massage). Although each treatment, as well as, each patient is unique, not every treatment will include all modalities listed above.

Follow Up
1-hour
$100

1-hour session to evaluate patient progress, refill prescriptions and continue herbal therapy and nutritional guidance. For patients receiving acupuncture, this will be included within the context of return acupuncture appointments.

CHINESE HERBAL
MEDICINE

Herbal medicine from China has been used consistently for over 3000 years. Each herbal formula is personally crafted to compliment your treatment plan and custom fit your detailed medical diagnosis.

As a classically trained Master Chinese Herbalist, Dr. B prepares classic and customized herbal formulations for acute and chronic medical symptoms.  Customized herbal formulas are then ordered through an online pharmacy and get shipped to your house within a few days.

DIET &
NUTRITIONAL
THERAPY

Nutrigenetics/nutrigenomics, the study of the relationship between gene expression and nutrition, proposes that disease can be prevented and reversed by drastically altering the nutritional environment. ( Mutch DM, Wahli W, Williamson G.)

Nutritional Therapy uses food to prevent and reverse diseases that plague most western societies: diabetes, obesity, heart disease, arthritis, and depression. In order for food to be therapeutic, it must be nutrient-dense, measured in part by the nutrients and anti-nutrients, contained in consumed foods.

Dr. B knows that there is no one best diet for everybody. There are no absolutes when it comes to our food, during the initial intake we go over some of the best options for what best serves you and your needs.

Dr. Brian Caswell is St. Pete & Tampa's #1 Acupuncturist

HEY THERE!

My name is Brian Caswell or Dr. B and I hope to help people like you.

NATIONAL BOARD-CERTIFIED
PRIMARY CARE PRACTIONER

I am a nationally board-certified primary care practitioner practicing in the state of Florida as an Acupuncture Physician (AP or DOM), and a proud St. Petersburg native.

I graduated with a Masters of Science in Classical Chinese Medicine and Herbal Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medicine in Asheville, NC, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee.

Over the last decade, I have worked with countless numbers of patients through some of their best and worst of times. I work with every patient to create an individualized comprehensive plan that encompasses Classical Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine. This can include acupuncture, lifestyle, diet, nutrition, genetic research, environmental stressors, herbal, and neutraceutical supplementation, and other modalities to help in restoring, or discovering for the first time, optimal health and wellness.

The lineage from which I studied under and continue to honor is my mentor Master Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist priest from the Jade Purity School, Lao Tzu sect, and a 26th generation priest of the Complete Reality School, Dragon Gate sect.

My goal and my passion, are to combine this ancient wisdom and lineage of Classical Chinese medicine and fuse it with the most up-to-date Functional medical practices of the modern age.

When I am not in the clinic. I find my comfort in nature and good food, woodworking, and refurbishing old stuff found in the craziest of places. I am a father as well as a partner to a very hardworking lady, who is a mother first and a dedicated nurse second. I am striving this year to read actual fiction novels for fun as well as pausing more to appreciate and be gracious for what I do have.

I look forward to working with you and learning your story.
